Cedefop’s data insights suggests that initial vocational education and training (IVET) provides opportunities for further learning in continuing VET (CVET), general and higher education. 71% of IVET students were enrolled in programmes that gave direct access to tertiary education and 40% of young VET graduates in the EU are in further either formal or non-formal, or both types of education and training.
